SPENCER’S GASTROPUB AND BAR NEW MENU LAUNCH

It makes me happy whenever I hear or see FOOD. I was invited here a few weeks ago for their new menu launch. Waaaah! There’s a lot of new food at Spencer’s Gastropub and Bar! By the way, they are located inside Best Western Plus Hotel in Subic Bay. I am so ecstatic to share this with you guys! Now, let’s get into the food!

To start with, they served Assorted Sahimi (Ika, Tai, Shake, Maguro) , House Salad with a combination of fresh greens served with their house-made dressing and Caesar Salad composed of fresh romaine lettuce, bacon and croutons drizzled with their house-made dressing as well.

For the soup, we had the Pumpkin Soup, It’s a roasted pumpkin drizzled with chive oil and served with freshly baked breads. We also tried their Wild Mushroom Soup with sautéed button and shiitake mushrooms, sour cream and parsley. Both were creamy and very flavorful!

I always look forward for the appetizers whenever I go to events! (Because gutom hehe) For the appetizer we had the Pulled Pork Quesadilla, Slow cooked pork, refried beans and cheddar served with fresh tomato salsa and crema. Definitely one of the best Quesadilla I’ve tried, it was juicy and full of meat! It was so delicious!

We also had the King Fish Ceviche and Stuffed Potato Skins filled with chili con carne, cheeses and bacon served with sour cream and tomato aioli.

For the sandwich and pasta they served Chef’s Triple Cheese Burger, all beef patty with gruyere, cheddar and mozzarella cheeses served with salad and fries. Juicy and tender beef patty with lots of cheese!!! 🙂

Chicken Sandwich served on a bun with red cabbage slaw and spicy mayo.

Classic Carbonara served with freshly baked breads.

Yaaay!!! Main Course time!

Spencer’s Beef Tips served with crashed potatoes, spinach and mushroom sauce. Super tender beef tips! My favorite dish for tonight! I am obsessed with anything beef.

Poached Salmon served with summer vegetables and hollandaise sauce.

Blackened Mahi Mahi, grilled cajun style served with sautéed spinach, garlic rice and mango salsa on the side and Spencer’s Chicharon Kawali, crispy pork belly deep fried to perfection! Crispy up to the last bite.

Last but not the least, DESSERTS! (All caps para intense HAHA) We had two desserts.

Brownie Ala’ Mode, a fudgy chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream. The brownie is not too sweet for my liking and not as heavy unlike the other ones.

Their house-made Philly – Style Cheesecake served with whipped cream and fruits in season is one of the best cheesecake I’ve ever tried! It’s the perfect creamy dessert to end our night.

Everything we had was superb from the appetizers down to the desserts! What a great menu! Definitely worth a visit! A night filled with good food and great company. Kudos to the whole team of Spencer’s Gastropub and Bar 🙂
